Copenhagen

Hey everyone!

Since it has been quite a while since I actually was in Copenhagen (more than a month now!!) and I really want to share my recent adventures with you, I decided to squeeze the full week of Copenhagen in one post. So please forgive me if its not as detailed as usually.

Although I managed to get a decent amount of sleep in when we were waiting at the airport and also on the plane, I was really happy when I arrived in the AirBnb and could cuddle up in a really comfortable bed with my boyfriend at my side. We did some grocery shopping for the next days, planned a little, had some dinner and just enjoyed a relaxed evening together.

The next days consisted of daily walks through the city, exploring some areas before we started to get to cold and went back to the AirBnb. It was really weird to be in a city again after exploring Iceland for nearly a month.

Of course we also stopped at the famous and picturesque Nyhavn and took lots of pictures. It is a really beautiful place with a cool atmosphere as well. We also saw lots of different historic buildings. Churches, castles, towers etc. As I said really different to the Icelandic countryside but also very pretty.

Another day we took the bus to go to the ‘Christiana Free Town’, a real hippy place with lots of cool street art, little craft shops and some interesting vibes.

We went to see the sunset from the ‘Round Tower’ in the middle of the city. It was really cool because the tower was build so that even horses could go up nearly all the way, so no stairs. During the time we were in Copenhagen, there was this Light Festival happening. All over the city there was buildings lit up in different colors or different installations on the water. On our last evening we decided to do a 45 minute canal cruise to all the ones that you can see from the water. It was really cool and interesting but also super cold. So we were happy when we got to warm up afterwards.

After six great and also relaxing days we hopped on the Flixbus and went back to Rendsburg. I then had the weekend back home where I decided to surprise the little ones I usually train at handball at there tournament, played my last game with my team this season and just spend some quality time with my family. I also repacked my stuff and then the next adventure started from Berlin.

Lena xx
